The Web Manuals Reader app for iPad is an easy-to-use document reader for airline operations manuals, notices and forms.

The Web Manuals Reader supports instant end-to-end publishing of manuals, notices and forms in a controlled an accurate manner. Documents will be synchronized from the Web Manuals server to the iPad to allow off-line reading, searching and linking between manuals. Downloaded forms may be filled out offline and then submitted once online again. The Web Manuals Reader app supports personal login for any number of users on the same device, while managing personal preferences, comments and bookmarks for each user.

The Web Manuals Reader app is suitable for staff working on-board, on ground or at outstations at airline operators, airports, MRO’s, ground service providers or any other safety-critical environment within the aviation industry. The Web Manuals Reader app has been approved by a number of European Civil Aviation Authorities for use as in the iPad as a Class 1 and 2 Electronic Flight Bag Device.

The Cloud application Web Manuals provides a platform for the digitization of manuals which enables companies in the aviation industry to improve knowledge management and safety while enabling cost-efficiency and operational flexibility.

To try out the Web Manuals Reader for yourself, please install the app and use "Try out the WebManuals demo" button.

Then tap the folder icon in the navigation bar to start retrieving the sample documents in any of the categories.

The document will download in a few seconds and you can then open it by tapping on the thumbnail in the home screen.

Press menu in the upper right corner and choose "Help" to open a guide for the Web Manuals Reader.

Version History This version includes a critical bugfix:
For customers using SSO based on SAML, the app could not be put in online mode after first being put in offline mode using the offline toggle button under settings. [EFBIOS-794] 7.2.4 01/30/2023 This is a small update that address these issues:

Security
- An admin option to set a login session expiry time has been added. This allows users to reopen the app without having to relog as long as the app is reopened within the specified time
- An admin option to disable offline login when using a third-party authentication service has been added
- An admin option to disable Logout/Change User while the app is in offline mode has been added

Other Improvements
- It is now possible to use Web Manuals in split screen. This allows users to have the Web Manuals application side-by-side as other applications. It is not possible to open two instances of Web Manuals
- The app now covers the whole screen on the 3rd gen iPad Pro devices
- It is now possible to download over 1000 manuals at once
- Latest published documents are now sorted by the date at which their latest revisions were published
- Categories now display the total number of documents that they and all their subcategories contain
- A “Download All” button has been added to the home screen
- On the home screen, the number of documents are now displayed on the bottom of the cards
- It is now possible to access Operationally Critical Documents from the left menu
- The PDF icon has been changed to blue, instead of red
- The app version is now displayed on the login and home screen
- Redesigned external login screen
